Vantage Workforce

Your phone is the badge.

Door Access connects Vantage to the readers on your doors, so a phone opens the doors a person is allowed through. Access follows their role, their location, and their shift. It starts the day they are hired and ends the moment they leave, with no plastic badge to print, hand out, or collect.

  • No badges to hand out or collect

A new hire's badge is on their phone before day one, as a step of onboarding. When someone leaves, archiving them takes them off every door at once.

  • Access that follows the schedule

Open the loading dock to the warehouse team during their shifts, from 15 minutes before. Managers get in any time. The rules use the roles, locations, and shifts already in Vantage.

  • Every door on the record

Who opened which door, and when, next to their timesheet. Badge in at your site and you can be clocked in at the same moment.

Set who opens what, once.

Each door belongs to a location. Give it rules in plain terms, by role, team, or person, all day or only around their shifts, and every change to a person's job in Vantage changes their doors with it.

For the team

One badge on the phone they already carry, for every door they need.

  • Hold the phone to the reader, or tap Unlock in the app
  • Add the badge to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet where the readers take it
  • See which doors you can open today, and from when
  • Holding the phone to the reader works with no signal
  • A new phone takes the badge when you sign in, and the old one stops
  • Badge in at the door and be clocked in, if your workspace uses it

For managers

Doors that keep up with hiring, schedules, and people leaving.

  • Rules by role, team, location, or person, all day or around shifts
  • Passes for visitors and contractors that end on their own
  • Unlock a door from the web for a delivery or a lockout
  • Turn off a lost phone's badge in one click
  • The entry log by door and person, with refused badges flagged
  • A notice when a door opens outside someone's shift

Ways to open a door

Which ones work depends on the readers on the door.

  • Hold to the reader
  • Tap to unlock
  • Apple Wallet
  • Google Wallet
  • Unlock from the web

Who can open it

Rules stack, and the most generous one that applies wins.

  • A role
  • A department
  • A team
  • A location
  • A person
  • During shifts
  • Until a date

Doors that keep up with the people.

The moments when a badge used to mean a trip to the office.

  • Ready on day one

The badge is a step of onboarding. A new hire walks in on their first morning with it already on their phone.

  • Off every door at once

Archive someone in Employee Profiles and every door they could open is closed to them, at every location.

  • Open around the shift

The dock opens to the morning crew 15 minutes before their shift and closes to them after it ends.

  • Badge in, clocked in

Opening the door at your own site can clock you in, with the door and the time on the entry.

  • Passes for visitors

Give a contractor the two doors they need until Friday at 5. The pass ends on its own.

  • A lost phone, sorted

Turn the badge off from the web. It moves to the new phone when they sign in there.

Works with the readers on your doors.

Door Access connects to the access control system that runs your doors. Its installer mounts the readers and the controllers that work the locks. Vantage decides who gets in, and when.

  1. Step 1Connect your access accountAn admin signs in to your access control provider from Settings. Your doors come across with their names.
  2. Step 2Match doors to locationsEach door is placed at one of your Vantage locations, so the rules and the entry log know where it is.
  3. Step 3Set the rulesPick who opens each door and when. Vantage gives out and takes back badges from then on, as people join, move, and leave.

It is coming soon. Talk to us if you want it at your sites, and we will tell you which readers to plan for.

Your doors need readers and controllers from one of the access control providers Door Access connects to, put in by their installer or yours. If your doors already run on one of them, Door Access connects to what is there.

Holding the phone to the reader works without a signal. Unlocking from the app or the web needs a connection. Leaving a building never depends on Vantage: exit doors open from the inside as the building code requires.

Archiving them in Employee Profiles takes their badge off every door at every location at the same moment. There is no badge to get back.

Yes. Give them a pass for the doors they need, ending on a date and time you set. It is on the entry log like anyone else's.
