Communications/Knowledge Base

Every answer, one search away.

Put your handbook, procedures, and how-to guides where your team can find them. Full-text search gets people to the right article, at a desk or on site.

Search that finds it

Type a few words and get the right article, even when you do not remember the title.

Organized your way

Group articles into categories and add tags so related procedures stay together.

Publish when ready

Draft an article, get it right, then publish. Update it once and everyone has the current version.

Write on the web. Find it on the phone.

The handbook people actually open.

Write an article once, file it where it belongs, and send it for review. On site, anyone can type a few words, even misspelled, and land on the right procedure in seconds, with or without a signal.

Writing and organizing

An editor for procedures, and a place for every one of them.

  • Headings, numbered steps, images, video, files, and warnings
  • Categories and tags so related procedures stay together
  • Review and approval before an article goes live
  • Version history that shows who changed what, and when
  • An owner and a review date on every article
  • Access by role or location for articles not meant for everyone

Finding and reading

A search box, and the answer a few words later.

  • Search that looks inside the article, not only at the title
  • Spelling mistakes still find the right article
  • Articles saved on the phone for reading without a signal
  • Required reading with one tap to confirm
  • Related articles on every page
  • Company Bot answers from these articles and links the source

In an article

Enough to write a real procedure, not a wall of text.

  • Headings
  • Numbered steps
  • Images
  • Video
  • Files
  • Warnings
  • Tables
  • Links to other articles

Controls

Who writes, who approves, and who has to read it.

  • Who can write
  • Review before publish
  • Version history
  • Required reading
  • Review dates
  • Access by role or location

Search

Built to be used with gloves on and thirty seconds to spare.

  • Full text
  • Spelling tolerant
  • By category
  • By tag
  • Popular this week
  • Searches that found nothing

Moments in the knowledge base

From a question to the right answer.

Search that reads the article, categories and tags, review and versions, required reading, review dates, and a list of what people are looking for.

Search that finds it

Type the question the way you would ask it. Search reads the whole article and shows the sentence that answers it.

Organized your way

Categories hold the articles and tags cut across them, so the lockout procedure is under Safety and also under Maintenance.

Reviewed, then published

An edit stays a draft until someone approves it. Every published version is kept, with who changed what.

Required reading, confirmed

Make an article required for a team or for new hires, see who has confirmed, and remind the rest.

Kept current

Every article has an owner and a review date. When it is due, the owner is reminded to update it or mark it as still accurate.

See what people look for

The top searches show what matters most. Searches that found nothing show which article to write next.

Knowledge Base questions.

Can we control who writes articles?

Yes. Writing and publishing are limited to the roles you choose. Everyone else reads.

Can an article be required reading?

Yes. Mark an article as required for a team, a role, a location, or new hires. Each person confirms with one tap, and you see who has and who has not.

How do we keep articles from going out of date?

Every article has an owner and a review date. When the date comes, the owner is reminded to update the article or confirm it is still accurate, and overdue articles are listed in one place.

Can some articles be limited to certain people?

Yes. An article or a whole category can be limited to a role or a location. People outside it do not see it in search.

Can people read articles without a signal?

Yes. Articles a person has opened, and any marked as required for them, are saved on the phone and can be read offline.
