Custom Enterprise/Custom Intranet

Your company's home page. Built by you.

Give your team one place to start the day: company news, quick links to the tools they use, policies, and a site for every department. Lay it out the way your company works, with no developer, and it shows up on the web and in the app.

Pages you lay out yourself

Start from a template or a blank page. Add text, images, files, links, and video, arrange them in sections, and publish. No code and no outside help.

A site for every department

HR, Safety, Operations, or a single location can each run their own area, with their own pages and their own editors, all under one roof.

Always the current version

Drafts stay hidden until you publish. Update a page once and everyone sees the new version, on the web and on their phone.

Built once on the web. Opened everywhere.

Your front door, in every pocket.

The home page you lay out on the web is the one your team opens on the phone: the featured story, the quick links, the department sites, and every page, arranged for a small screen with no extra work. Publish once and it is there, with a notice for anyone who follows the site.

For the team

One place to start the day, on any screen.

  • The company home page, news, and what is coming up
  • Quick links to the tools they open most
  • Every department site, one tap away
  • Files that open in the app, on the phone
  • Search across every page they are allowed to see
  • A notice when a site they follow publishes a change

For editors

Pages from sections, with nothing to code.

  • Text, images, files, links, video, people, forms, and events as sections
  • A preview on web and phone before publishing
  • Drafts nobody else sees until they are published
  • Every published version kept, any of them restorable
  • Audience by role, department, or location
  • How many people opened a page, and on which screen

Moments in Custom Intranet

From a blank page to the whole company.

Sections, department sites, publishing, audience, search, and the links that tie the app together.

Built from sections

Drag in an image, text, links, files, a video, or this week's events. Fill each one in and the page lays itself out, on the web and on the phone.

A site for every department

HR, Safety, Operations, Payroll, or a single location. Each has its own editors, who can change their own site's pages and nothing else.

Draft until you publish

Save a draft only you can see, preview it on web and phone, then publish. Every published version is kept and any of them can be restored.

Who sees a page

Open to everyone, or limited to managers, a department, or a location. A page someone cannot see never shows up for them, in the site or in search.

Search across every page

One search box over every site, page, and news post, with the match highlighted. People only ever get results from pages they can see.

Links into everything else

A quick link can open a time off request, a handbook article, a form, a course, or the directory. Same sign-in, nothing to install.

Custom Intranet questions.

How is this different from the Knowledge Base?

The Knowledge Base is a searchable library of articles. The intranet is your company's front door: a home page and department sites you design, with news, links, files, and pages arranged the way you want. Any intranet page can link to a Knowledge Base article.

We use SharePoint today. Can this replace it?

For an intranet, yes: news, department pages, policies, links, and files, in the same app your team already uses for schedules and chat. It is not a replacement for file storage or Office document editing.

Do we need a web developer?

No. Pages are built by adding sections and filling them in. Anyone you give editing rights to can look after their department's pages.

Can we limit who sees a page?

Yes. A page can be open to the whole company or limited by role, department, or location, so a page for managers stays with managers.

Who can edit a department site?

The editors you name for that site. They can add, change, and publish that site's pages and nothing else. Admins can edit any site.

What happens to the old version when we update a page?

It is kept. Every published version is listed with who published it and when, and any of them can be restored in one click.

Can a draft show up in search before it is published?

No. A draft is only visible to that site's editors, and search only returns published pages the person is allowed to see.

Can the intranet answer questions?

With the AI add-on, yes. Company Bot reads your intranet pages along with the Knowledge Base and announcements, answers in chat, and links to the page it used.
