HR/Time Off

Time off, requested and approved in the app.

Employees request vacation, sick, personal, or unpaid time with dates and hours. Managers approve or deny with a note, and the decision is on record.

Requests with everything attached

Type of leave, dates, hours, and reason arrive together. No follow-up questions.

Decisions in one tap

Approve or deny from the notification and add a note if you need to explain.

A clear record

Every request shows who reviewed it and when. Disputes are settled by looking it up.

Asked on the phone. Decided from the notification.

Time off the schedule already knows about.

Employees see their balance and ask with dates and hours. Managers see who else is off that week and decide from the notification. Approved time off lands on the schedule, the timesheet, and the payroll export, with the decision on record.

For the employee

Their balance, their request, and the answer, on the phone.

  • Balances per leave type, with what accrues and what carries over
  • A request with the type, dates, hours, and a reason
  • What is left after, before they send it
  • A notification when it is decided, with the manager's note
  • Approved days on their schedule as Time off
  • Cancel it before it starts, and the manager is told

For managers

Everything needed to decide, in the notification.

  • Who else is off that week, and the on-shift count against your minimum
  • Approve or deny from the notification, with a note
  • Leave types that approve themselves, such as a single sick day
  • Blackout dates a request cannot cover, with the reason shown
  • A team calendar of who is off, Monday to Sunday, by location
  • Paid time off on the timesheet and the payroll export, unpaid leave taken off

Leave types

The usual ones, and your own.

  • Vacation
  • Sick
  • Personal
  • Unpaid
  • Jury duty
  • Bereavement
  • Your own

On a request

Everything a decision needs.

  • Type
  • Dates
  • Hours
  • Reason
  • Balance after
  • Who else is off
  • Decision
  • Note

It lands on

One approval, everywhere it matters.

  • The schedule
  • The timesheet
  • The payroll export
  • The team calendar

Moments in Time Off

From request to payroll.

Leave types with rules, a balance that adds up, who else is off, deciding from the notification, the record, and paid hours on the timesheet.

Every kind of leave

Vacation, sick, personal, and unpaid, each with its own accrual, carry-over, and approval rule. Add your own, such as jury duty with a document attached.

A balance that adds up

Accrued, used, booked, and left, with what is still to accrue this year and what carries into the next. The employee sees the same numbers.

Who else is off

The week Monday to Sunday with the on-shift count each day. A request that drops a day under your minimum is flagged before anyone approves it.

Decide from the notification

The request, the balance after, and the coverage that week, with Approve and Deny in the notification on the phone.

A clear record

Every request with who decided, when, and the note. Cancellations sit next to the original.

Straight to payroll

Approved paid time off shows on the timesheet as paid hours and goes into the payroll export. Unpaid leave comes off instead.

Time Off questions.

Can an employee cancel a request?

Yes. A request can be cancelled, and the cancellation is recorded alongside the original.

Can we set how much time off people get?

Yes. Each leave type has an accrual rate, a yearly amount, and a carry-over rule, and the rules can differ by role or location. Balances update as time accrues and is used.

Does approved time off show on the schedule?

Yes. It appears as Time off on the person's week, on the phone and on the web, and they cannot be scheduled on those days.

Does it feed payroll?

Yes. Approved paid time off shows on the timesheet as paid hours and goes into the payroll export. Unpaid leave is taken off.

Can we block certain dates?

Yes. Set blackout dates for a location, such as an inventory week, and requests cannot cover them. The employee sees the reason when they pick dates.
