Operations/Tasks

Assign it. Track it. Done.

Hand out work with a due date, a priority, and a location. Your team checks tasks off as they go, from a phone or a computer, and you see progress as it happens. For bigger projects, boards add groups, columns, views, and automations in the same place.

Clear ownership

Every task has one assignee, a due date, and a priority from low to urgent. Nothing sits in a group chat waiting for a volunteer.

Break big jobs down

Split a job into subtasks and track each step. The parent task shows how far along the work is.

Attach the details

Add photos and files so the person doing the work has what they need in front of them.

Quick tasks and boards

Two speeds. One place.

Quick tasks for the things that need doing today. Boards for the projects with many moving parts, with groups, columns, views, and automations. Both use the same people, locations, and phone app, so nothing is copied between systems.

Quick tasks

One tap to hand out, one tap to finish. Built for the people on the floor.

  • A title, a person, a due date, and a priority
  • Checklists, photos, and files on any task
  • Assign to a person, a location, or a whole team
  • Recurring tasks for opening, closing, and inspections
  • Done from the phone, even with no signal

Boards

Groups, columns, and views for work with many parts and many people.

  • Groups for phases, weeks, or sites
  • Columns for status, owner, due date, priority, files, numbers, and more
  • Table, kanban, timeline, and calendar views of the same board
  • Subitems and dependencies
  • Automations that move, notify, and set dates for you
  • Updates and files on every item
  • Dashboards across boards, by person, location, or status

Views

Every view reads the same board. Switch between them without rebuilding anything.

  • Table
  • Kanban
  • Timeline
  • Calendar
  • My work
  • Dashboard

Columns

Add the columns the work needs. Each one sorts, filters, and works in automations.

  • Status
  • Owner
  • Due date
  • Priority
  • Location
  • Files
  • Numbers
  • Checkbox
  • Dropdown
  • Timeline
  • Progress

Automations

Plain-language rules with no code. Pick a trigger, pick an action.

  • When status changes to Done, notify the manager
  • When a due date passes, set status to Overdue
  • When an item is added, assign the site lead
  • Every Monday, create the opening checklist
  • When all subitems are Done, mark the item Done

Tasks

What you can do.

The details that make Tasks work for your team.

  • Assignee, due date, and priority on every task
  • Subtasks for multi-step jobs
  • Tasks tied to a location
  • File and photo attachments
  • Open, in progress, completed, and cancelled states
  • Task completion works offline
  • Checklists inside a task, with photo proof on any step
  • Recurring tasks for opening, closing, and inspections
  • Boards with groups, columns, and views for larger projects
  • Table, kanban, timeline, and calendar views of the same board
  • Status, owner, due date, priority, location, files, and number columns, or any column you add
  • Subitems and dependencies between items
  • Automations that move items, notify people, and set dates when something changes
  • Updates and files on every item, so the conversation stays with the work
  • Dashboards that roll boards up by person, location, or status
  • Board templates for the projects you run again

Tasks questions.

Can employees create tasks, or only managers?

That depends on the permissions you set for each role in your workspace.

Do we still need monday.com or Asana?

For most frontline teams, no. Boards give you groups, columns, views, automations, and dashboards, with the same people, locations, and phone app as the rest of Vantage. Quick tasks stay one tap for the people on the floor.

Can a quick task grow into a board item?

Yes. Move any task onto a board and it keeps its owner, due date, checklist, and updates. Items on a board can also be sent to someone's phone as a quick task.

Who can see a board?

You decide per board: the whole workspace, a location, a department, or the people on it. Employees always see the items assigned to them.

Try Tasks with your team.

Create a workspace, invite your people, and run tomorrow from one app.
